and its Master Reference turntable features a tri-level, triangular
base design with three massive bronze supports and three identical
equidistant motors that drive the 18-kilogram platter via
specially designed high tolerance belts … a construction
principle describe as "geometrically resonance optimised
shape belt-drive". Naturally, there's much more in terms
of technology and at $45,000 you'd expect a kitchen sink or
two as well.

The Denon AVC-A11SR is a new 7-channel A/V surround sound
amplifier with DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 and THX post processing
and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound formats. It puts out
125 watts into its seven channels and will do so all day …
for a cool $5499 that is.

Definitive Technology recently won the US Sound & Vision
Award for its DM700 speaker, one of the Power Monitors series
of bookshelf speakers. The ranges features in-built active
subwoofers and pack a real punch. The diminutive (420mm high)
DM700 sells for $2995 per pair.
